Job summary

The Deputy Clinical Site Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the safe and effective running of hospital operations across the site. This position requires sound clinical knowledge and well-developed clinical skills to ensure timely decision-making in dynamic and often high-pressure environments.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting site-wide patient flow and escalation processes

Making informed clinical decisions to maintain safety and quality of care

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve operational challenges

Providing visible leadership and guidance during periods of increased demand

Acting as a point of contact for clinical queries and site coordination

The ideal candidate will demonstrate confidence in assessing complex situations, prioritising competing demands, and implementing solutions that uphold patient safety and service standards.

  • *Registered Nurse on the NMC register
  • *Evidence of post registration CPD / Post registration qualification in (appropriate area of speciality or professional knowledge supplemented by specialist experience and short courses to degree / post graduate level equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • *Evidence and ability to revalidate as required by the NMC
  • *Significant post registration experience as a Registered Nurse at B6 or above in defined or associated speciality
  • *Extensive experience of working autonomously at a specialist level
  • *Evidence to support a program of personal and
  • *professional development
  • *Experience of leading and managing a team
  • *Up to date clinical experience in acute areas including
  • *evidence of skills updates
  • *Working in a multi-disciplinary and cross agency work environment

Desirable

  • *Experience in management across varied clinical areas / specialities.
