Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person who is looking for a challenge, working within a busy office in the imaging Department, providing a bookings service for patients who have been referred for Imaging. This will include modalities such as CT, Ultrasound and MRI
You will be required to work with a very busy team to carry out various administrative duties, including booking patients, using a computerised system, ensuring patient records are maintained.
The role is a full-time post for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham sees over 27,000 patients every month. We carry out a wide variety of diagnostic investigations including MRI, CT and Ultrasound.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent computer skills including experience of using computer systems and Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and Outlook) excellent communication/telephone skills, organisational ability and a good team player are an essential requirement. The candidate should be self-motivated and be able work well under pressure.
This post will include registering and booking patients onto various computer systems, we will be expecting accurate data input and attention to detail. You must have confident communication skills to be able to liaise with imaging staff at all levels.
The candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff enquiries in a professional and accurate manner, providing a calm, relaxed and efficient experience for our patients whilst under our care.
The department delivers a 7-day service across 12 hours and it is therefore necessary for staff to work flexibly including weekend work on a rotation basis.
Full training will be given to the appointees in the use of the Trust patient information system Oceano and Radiology Information System (CRIS).
