Job summary
We have a new Senior People Partner opportunity and are seeking applications from experienced people-centred leaders who will be based at Heartlands Hospital.
Reporting into the Associate Director of People for the hospital site and in conjunction with the Hospital Executive team, you will ensure we drive the short and longer-term people priorities to support the Trust's ambition as well as providing attention to local priorities, challenges and opportunities in an aim to create the best and safest place to work.
You will support the development of people strategies, address key people priorities with a person centred, solutions focussed approach. You will enable movement in employee experience and engagement, workforce planning and development, succession planning, attraction, recruitment and retention; workforce design and change; culture and inclusion and employee relations.

Previous NHS experience would be desirable but not essential.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will support a single site within UHB in maximising the contribution of the workforce to meet organisational objectives. Key duties will include:
*Supporting management teams in designated areas with the development of their people strategies, addressing key people priorities with a person centred, solutions focussed approach.
* To lead and support the Associate People Director on the local delivery of the People strategy and priorities.
* To provide accurate and timely advice, guidance and support on a range of workforce issues, working with colleagues to deliver effective and sustained solutions.
* To provide strategic leadership to the People Team aligned to the key people priorities on preventative actions to address key workforce challenges across the Trust, enabling improvement in staff experience; workforce planning and development; attraction, recruitment and retention; workforce design and change; culture and inclusion and employee relations.
*To support highly complex/ sensitive investigations, including MHPS, Disciplinary, Grievance and bullying and harassment, complex capability issues, enabling positive changes to behaviours, organisational learning and embedding a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment and discrimination.
