Job summary
We are looking for an exceptional communications specialist to lead on the communications and engagement requirements for maternity-related portfolios of work.
As the lead communication and engagement professional for maternity services, you will provide expert, specialist, creative and innovative advice on external and internal communication and engagement requirements to maternity services management teams and colleagues across the organisation.
You will create and implement communication and engagement plans/interventions, that are designed to provide high-quality and consistent communications and engagement outputs, encourage key enabling relationships with stakeholders, remove barriers and ultimately enhance the reputation of the organisation and our maternity services.
Main duties of the job
*Identify and action opportunities to explain and promote maternity services, developments plans and initiatives; often through interpreting highly complex information and translating this into easy-to-understand outputs.
*Design and implement communication and engagement plans and approaches, which support and reinforce Trust's values and objectives.
*Ensure the production and delivery of high-quality regular maternity-related content for use across a range of channels, using highly engaging words, inclusive images and video.
*Develop and maintain good working relationships with the maternity team, to ensure that communications is part of key decision making and joint working opportunities are maximised.
*Provide operational support in the management of complex situations, which pose a significant risk to the organisation's reputation.
*Proactively and reactively provide expertise and advice on all aspects of communication and engagement to colleagues.
*Writing, proofreading and editing copy for all publications and channels.
