Job summary
Due to the planned retirement of the current post holder the Trust is seeking to appoint a full-time visionary, Corporate Lead for Advanced and Consultant Clinical Practice. You will set the vision and shape the strategy working with professionals across the organisation to lead and further develop our teams of trainee and advanced clinical practitioners and consultant level professionals. With a demonstrable track record as a senior ACP, working clinically 0.4 wte per week and spend the remaining time as the professional lead setting the strategic development and developing the multi professional workforce. Acting as a catalyst for change you will provide professional leadership and management as well as acting as a senior clinical leader within the corporate management team to provide expert advice and guidance to senior management teams, you will proactively influence regional and national priorities related to advanced and consultant level practice. You will encourage and facilitate audit, research and quality improvement projects to highlight the work of the ACP teams across the Trust. You will be an experienced advanced practitioner in an established service and be able to demonstrate both the ability to influence professionally as well as steer the direction of professional practice across a multi-disciplinary workforce. You will be expected to represent the Trust at system, regional and national levels as the most senior advanced practitioner for the organisation

This is a key lead role in the strategic development and evaluation of advanced and consultant level practice across the ICS, at regional and national level working collaboratively with the Trust senior leadership team to guide and support site leadership team in workforce transformation developing and integrating an AP workforce to meet trust vison and objectives of the NHS long-term workforce plan. Lead on the completion, implementation, and evaluation of the NHSE Advanced Practice (AP) maturity matrix, holding corporate responsibility for all domains within it, ensuring progressive improvement for the AP workforce. Playing a key role in the development of future UHB people strategies, acting as an expert resource in planning alternative roles that will deliver on local and national workforce strategies. Work collaboratively with the Trust senior leadership team to guide and support divisional leadership team in workforce transformation developing and integrating an AP workforce to meet trust vison and objectives of the NHS long-term workforce plan.

- *Current professional registration with UK relevant professional body NMC/ HCPC
- *Evidence of CPD reflecting practice in both clinical and senior management roles.
- *Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider
- *Educated to master's degree as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner
- *Evidence of continued professional development following MSc completion
- *Independent prescriber (if legally permitted profession) or evidence of therapeutics knowledge through academia and clinical portfolio.
- *Leadership qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable
- *Holds/ completing Clinical Doctorate or PhD in a relevant academic area.
- *Education qualification or equivalent experience.
- *Previous experience of working at a corporate level
- *Evidence of leadership qualification or portfolio of evidence

- *Significant experience working in an ACP role in an acute complex health care provider
- *A strong understanding of the inter-professional agenda, ensuring positive outcomes across the multi-professional advanced and consultant level workforce.
