Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our excellent dynamic out-patient Physiotherapy teams.

The candidate will work as part of a dynamic MSK physiotherapist, responsible for the delivery of advanced assessment, management and treatment of patients. We see patients from all settings including trauma & orthopaedics, GP and self-referral patients. We provide services including but limited to; FCP, ultrasound scanning, Injection therapy, Hydrotherapy, Gym rehabilitation, Shockwave therapy, Acupuncture.

We are an innovative department and this is a fantastic role for those looking to expand their clinical and leadership portfolio and to work within a service that prides itself on quality and putting the patient first.

Main duties of the job

The clinical role of the band 5 Physiotherapy is to be responsible for their own caseload, without direct supervision. They perform functional assessment of patients from both acute settings and from primary care.

The role includes leading on gym classes and/ or hydrotherapy sessions. These classes can cover a wider range of conditions.

A band 5 receives supervision and development in the form of regular band 5 specific training along with team in-service training, clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, and case conferences

There will be opportunities to take part in evidence-based audit and research projects to support both teams and clinical practise.

The role requires great communication skills to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Contribute to a 5-day service with a morning weekend work once every 6 weeks within MSK
