Job summary
Do you want to work in a busy department that is committed to providing a quality service that focuses on patient care and experience? This is your opportunity to join our diverse pharmacy team at Solihull Hospital.
You will:
*Assist in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within the Trust through the provision of a safe and efficient pharmacy service
*Provide a comprehensive reception service, greeting our service users and taking in work confidently and accurately.
*Provide proficient medicines stock maintenance and distribution to wards and satellite pharmacies
You must be an enthusiastic and astute individual to join our busy team. Self-motivated and flexible, you will have excellent organisational and communication skills. You'll also have the ability to work effectively both independently and with the existing team.
You will have:
*The ability to develop good working relationships
*Excellent manual handling
*Good I.T/keyboard skills
*A flexible approach and commitment to accommodate the needs of the service
*Strong attention to detail
This post offers in-service development training and the opportunity to gain further qualifications including the NVQ Level 2 Award in Pharmacy Services.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
*To interpret and accurately dispense prescriptions and requests for medication
*To participate in stock supply to wards and departments and re-order as necessary
*To receive goods into the department, unpack, check and put away deliveries against relevant paperwork
*To act as front of house on reception, greeting customers and receiving in work
*To participate in the induction and training of staff

There may be a requirement to participate in extended hours; including weekend working, bank holidays and late nights on a rotational basis.
