We are therefore strengthening our senior digital leadership team starting with the new appointment to the vacancy of Chief Information Officer (CIO) to drive this important agenda forward.

Reporting to Mo Hussain, Group Strategy and Digital Officer, As the CIO, you will shape the development and implementation of our strategic vision for data and digital services including Core IM&T (operations), Digital Health, Informatics, and IM&T development functions.

Main duties of the job

Having management responsibility for circa 800 staff and an operational pay budget circa 30m, you will lead and empower colleagues to improve both staff and patient experience whilst supporting our teams in the delivery of first-class care to the communities that rely on us. As a strategic leader, you will also work with colleagues across the Birmingham and Solihull ICS to ensure that our patients and teams have a seamless user experience allowing, us to be as productive and as effective as possible and that value from technology adoption is realised.
