Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit Band 3 Housekeeping Team Leaders to join our busy Housekeeping Department at Good Hope Hospital
We are looking for individuals who are fully committed to providing a very high standard of work to support the needs of the Trust and to meet the high standards required to provide a safe environment for the care of our patients
They must be motivated and driven, have the ability to supervise a large workforce and enjoy working under pressure in a fast paced Hospital environment.
With the support of the Deputy Housekeeping Manager the post holders is required to lead and supervise the Housekeeping Team to ensure the environment is maintained to the highest possible standard.

The post holders will be required to work a rotating 6 weeks shift pattern between the hours of 07:00 -- 20:30 Monday to Sunday, Shift patterns will include working Mornings, Afternoons or Evenings.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be part of the team required to lead and supervise a large number of Housekeeping Operatives. They will be responsible for ensuring the hospital environment is maintained to the highest standard as per the NHS National Standard of Healthcare Cleanliness.
To achieve this, their daily duties will include the allocation of tasks, completion of payroll information, monitoring sickness, staff training, conducting staff appraisals, staff welfare, promoting good practices and monitoring standards of cleanliness.
The post holder must be an effective communicator, have Knowledge of the NHS National Standard of Healthcare Cleanliness, NHS policies, health and safety and risk management. They must also be willing to undertake training in a competence qualification and be IT literate
