Job summary

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals with outstanding communication skills to join our Clinical Coding team.

Knowledge of Clinical Coding and ICD 10 and OPCS will be an advantage, with an understanding of anatomy and physiology and medical terminology.

You will need excellent attention to detail and be required to organise your own workload and work as part of a team to deliver timely and accurate coded data to meet trust deadlines.

Training and progression is important to us so once you have met all requirements of the band 3 role, we will support you through internal assessments in which if you are successful will take you to the higher band, Clinical Coding Examination and beyond.

Main duties of the job

We would require you to have completed the clinical coding standards course or worked in a clinical coding environment.

Able to read and evaluate source documents to accurately assign clinical codes.
