We are looking for a nurse with a working Occupational Health knowledge. You could already have extensive experience with management referrals or have experience with occupational health vaccination clinics and are preparing to make the next step up in your occupational health career. Main duties of the job
As an Occupational Health Advisor you will work autonomously and also within a friendly and supportive team providing all aspects of Occupational Health Services. You will be expected to provide regular clinical supervision to junior staff and assist the department needs with governing a high quality and well respected service. The role encompasses a wide variety of duties, including but not limited to: management referral clinics, health surveillance, assessing fitness for work. As health promotion is integral to this role you will have excellent communication and IT skills, cultural awareness, empathy and a proactive approach to managing a diverse and demanding workload. Our Occupational Health Service team consists of a Clinical Director, two Consultant Occupational Physicians, an external Occupational Health Physician, speciality trainees, Occupational Health Specialist doctors, Occupational Psychiatrist, Counselling and Well-being team, Lead OH Nurse, Band 6 and 7 Occupational Health Advisors, Operational manager and clinic nurses all supported by an excellent administrative team. You will be primarily based at 1 or 2 of UHB's 4 main hospital sites, with a regular working pattern and occasional travel to cover other locations.
