We are looking for someone with demonstrable leadership and management experience regarding undergraduate healthcare students, who can lead the way in creating dynamic, high quality clinical learning environments for our non-medical pre-registration students, including implementation of our Award-winning Learner Led Clinical Learning Environments, Dedicated Education Hubs and other projects.

As a leader and role model, you will have managerial responsibility for a team of skilled Practice Placement Managers to ensure implementation and delivery of quality patient care through teaching, assessing and supervision of Practice Supervisors, Practice Assessors, which supports recruitment/retention of graduates into the workplace in line with the NHSE LTWP with UHB as an employer of choice.

Main duties of the job

This post is integral in providing senior leadership and management for the Practice Placement Team and to provide input into placement projects such as the Learner Led Strategy. Under supervision of the Head of Pre-registration, you will be responsible for :-

*Senior oversight of day-to-day management of the Practice Placement Team

*Shaping and supporting inter-disciplinary models of practice learning, creating new placement opportunities and increasing student capacity

*Monitoring team/placement quality standards and Key Performance Indicators to enhance student satisfaction and learning experiences alongside NMC, NHSE and CQC requirements

*Ensuring organisational readiness for providing practice supervision and assessment, to develop competent practitioners who are fit for practice

*Working collaboratively with our local AEI partners and BSol ICB/ICS organisations, in delivering the NHSE LTWP priorities.

We are interested in candidates who have a genuine interest in non-medical pre-registration students and implementation of innovative practice. You need to be a registered practitioner with extensive experience working with undergraduate health care students, sound knowledge of local HEI placement processes, the NMC Standards for Supervision and Assessment, and an up-to-date Practice Assessor. You should have extensive recent experience/knowledge of pre-registration education policy and undergraduate student curriculums and be prepared to work flexibly across our 4 sites.
