Job summary

This role is for a Diversity Equality Inclusion (DEI) Compliance Partner and will be part of the Trust wide Inclusion Department.

As a DEI specialist the post holder will be working closely with the Associate Director of Inclusion to support University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust's (UHB) commitment to DEI that will shape and deliver the culture for our staff, patients, and local community.

The post holder will lead have an excellent knowledge of DEI legalisation contractual and non-contractual obligations.

The post holder will provide support across the Trust embedding our trust values and promoting a culture the celebrates and embraces difference amongst our colleagues, patients and visitors.

The post holder will be partnering with our people leaders, finance and leadership teams to promote and embedded an integrated DEI strategy.

The post holder will have a have a focus on DEI compliance across UHB.

Key Relationships

The post holder will be required to establish effective working relationships with a range of colleagues. This includes but is not exclusive to:

Main duties of the job

*This role is part of the Inclusion Team for the Trust

*The post holder will be a subject matter expert, providing leadership and direction ensuring the relevant teams have the right DEI skills and knowledge.

*The post holder will have highly effective collaboration skills that are enable influence colleagues at all levels of the Trust.

*The post holder will be able to use using critical thinking to balance data-driven insights against DEI trends to make positive and grounded decisions.

*The post holder will have the ability to display innovative thought-leadership.

*The role will have responsibility for developing and executing the strategic plan for advancing DEI across UHB

*The post holder will be partnering with our people leaders, finance and leadership teams to promote and embedded an integrated DEI strategy.

*The post holder will work with the Inclusion team and the Associate Director of Employment Legal Services as well as wider Trust to ensure that all legal, contractual and non-contractual requirements are fulfilled.

*The post holder will design innovative solutions to DEI including training, internal policies and procedures, data collection, attraction and retention.

*The post holder will drive DEI initiatives through influencing and building great relationships with colleagues.
