Job summary
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and NHS England are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Administrator/Co-ordinator to join our West Midlands Integrated Stroke Delivery Network (ISDN) team. The successful candidate will take on a busy and rewarding role in improving stroke care in the Region.
ISDNs are an integral part of the NHS Long Term Plan aims for improving stroke care. They work to ensure there is equity of access to resources offered by providers across wide geographical areas, together with consistency of treatment and improved outcomes for patients and focus on the operational elements of care delivery. The ISDNs will work closely with the East and West Midlands Clinical Networks, STPs, Ambulance Services and the third sector partners including the Stroke Association and Academic Health Science Networks. This ISDN footprint includes Birmingham and Solihull ICB, Hereford and Worcester ICB, Coventry and Warwickshire ICB, and Black Country & West Birmingham ICB.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will support delivery of transformational change and quality improvement within and across local systems. The proven ability to work in a cross-cutting multi-organisational setting to facilitate service-specific and wider organisational change is vital. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is demonstrable experience of project administration to support the management of development and delivery of change management and quality improvement. They will also coordinate the Patient and Public Voice project engaging with patients and carers, and support on other projects.
This is a 12 month fixed term / secondment contract ending 2025; contracts may be extended if further funding is received from NHSE/I. The post-holder will be employed by University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust as the host organisation for the ISDN, and will be reporting into the Midlands Stroke Delivery Board and the Midlands Medical Director, as well as the Midlands CVD-R Clinical Network. The post holder will be able to initially work remotely and agree office-based working arrangements with their Supervisor. Some travel within the ISDN footprint and occasionally in the Midlands will eventually be expected.
