Job summary

Led by the Trusts Group Chief People Officer, the People Directorate is the epicentre of employee relations and organisational development. Recognising the importance of this department, we are expanding our advisory team across Solihull and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals with the creation of two new Band 5 People Advisor opportunities.

As a Directorate, we provide a partnership service to all managers on policy and procedures and are proud of our person focused, fair approach, where patient care is our priority.
You will be well versed in; working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple conflicting demands and pressures, whilst continuing to provide guidance to the wider management team and managing a caseload of varied employee relation matters such as disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and performance improvement.
Main duties of the job
It is essential that you are able to demonstrate your expert knowledge in the field of employee relations and have up to date working knowledge of employment law; keeping yourself informed with legislative changes and best practices, with a focus on people over process.
You will be innovative, team-focused, and able to demonstrate how you follow the just culture principles in your approach.

The role offers a salary of 28,407 to 34,581per annum along with a generous leave entitlement, starting from 27 days + bank holidays (rising to 33 days with service) and the opportunity to buy and sell leave. This along with a renowned NHS pension and public sector benefits.
