We're looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Physiotherapist to join our research delivery team at UHB. As a Band 7 Research Physiotherapist you will support and lead research delivery activities including outcome assessment of new and innovative therapy research interventions across a range of specialities at UHB. Do you have your own research question in mind? We can help facilitate applications for higher degrees and support your continued professional development.
It is essential that you are friendly and adaptable and can work autonomously to ensure the delivery of protocolised therapy assessment across all 4 UHB sites. This dynamic role will require an individual with excellent communication skills to ensure research is delivered effectively, enhancing the research patients' experience.
You will have experience as a practicing physiotherapist in an acute care setting and will demonstrate knowledge of research and be skilled in analysing and presenting data. If successful we will offer a full induction programme, that will include the requirements of delivering research at UHB.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be responsible for creating and contributing to the generation of knowledge by undertaking therapy assessments and treatments for specific research projects, as identified by the CORE Research team. The post holder will contribute to writing further research bids. The post holder will be able to analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative research findings and results and disseminate this information to a wide audience.
The post holder is professionally accountable for the maintenance of standards of professional practise and standards of care. They will provide professional clinical leadership within a defined area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members within the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will undertake and supervise clinical practice, audit, research, and teaching to set, monitor and continuously improve standards of care and patient experience.
The post holder is required to work on their own initiative on a regular basis and manage their own workload; this will require excellent planning and organisational skills. The post holder must be able to communicate information to a wide range of staff groups, i.e. Consultants, external stakeholders. Develop a good understanding of system reform issues facing the NHS. Using their own judgment, the post holder will be able to prioritise their workload effectively.
The post holder will be required to work across all 4 hospital sites.
