Sexual health service are leaders with the field with the introduction of online testing and our partnership with pharmacies to deliver sexual health services and remain one of the only service to do all our online testing in house, providing a seamless service for patients whether accessing testing online or F2F . We want to continue to innovate to remain leaders in the field. This highly valued service will see a priority on health promotion and prevention combined with contraception with testing and treatment for STIs.

Following the retirement of a respected colleague- we are now able to commence recruitment of the General Manager of this vital service.

As General Manager you will pioneer change within the service to include improvements to service access with transformation of our digital and online platforms.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work with the Associate Director of Operations, Clinical Service Lead and Clinical Delivery Group Management Team to lead and manage the services assigned to them. The post holder will be responsible for providing patient centred operational and strategic business planning and leadership to ensure that the Umbrella Services achieve their agreed performance objectives within the resources available.

The role leads the Umbrella Service in driving transformation through planning, commissioning and service design. The Umbrella General Manager has a key role in developing and enhancing Umbrella's relationship with external stake holders, managing relationships through influence, to ensure that key organisations are engaged with the service at appropriate levels to deliver key public health outcomes.

  • Substantial Experience in a senior managerial and leadership role within a healthcare setting which is commensurate with the complexity and size of the allocated area of responsibility.
