Job summary
Solihull Special Care Dental Service (Community Services) provides dental care for people of all ages with additional needs (Special Care Dentistry).
A post has arisen for a Dental Receptionist to join our excellent dental team who are committed to providing a service of high quality dental care to the community we serve.
The base for this post will be at Smiths Wood Dental Clinic in the North of the Borough. You will also be required to travel to other Dental Clinics across the Borough of Solihull as and when required including travelling during the working day therefore, access to personal transport and the holder of full driving license is essential.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be an organised professional whose responsibility is to oversee the administration within Community Dental Clinics and help with the overall day-to-day running. Dental receptionists are responsible for a wide range of tasks, for example: Oversee front-of-house processes, manage and update patient records and appointments, undertake payment transactions, maintain waiting lists and a variety of inventories etc.
We operate a referral based service providing Special Care Dentistry to patients with additional needs who may have challenging behaviour and there can be barriers to understanding.

This post is a permanent contract, part time (26 hours) and the required days of working are: Monday all day, Tuesday all day, Thursday all day and Friday AM only. NHS Agenda for Change Pay Band 3.
