Job summary

Emergency Medicine sees nearly 400,000 attendances per year and serves a diverse population across the West Midlands. We have a active research and clinical audit program across the Emergency Medicine directorate including submissions to national audits.
Maintaining accurate and up to date information on attendances is vital to planning and day to day running of Emergency Medicine.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, knowledgeable and computer literate ED Data and System Support Officer.
It is an excellent opportunity for a pro-active, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to be part of our innovative and successful data quality team.
The post holder will assist in the preparation of daily and monthly reports. The primary function of the role is to support validation of Emergency Department Data.
The candidate must be competent in Microsoft N365 applications and have an excellent, working knowledge of using Excel and experience of using databases is also beneficial. The candidate will be expected to undertake data analysis and be able to produce reports to present the results at meetings.
The post will be based mainly at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital but will be expected to work at Good Hope, Queen Elisabeth and Solihull Hospitals as and when necessary. You will have excellent inter-personal and time management skills and will work closely with medical and nursing staff.
Excellent communication skills are a pre-requisite for this role.
