Job summary
A fantastic fixed term; 12 month opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic administrator to support the ophthalmology operational management team at UHB. You should meet the essential requirements outlined in the job description. We require a dynamic individual to effectively communicate with a people at all levels, both internally and externally. You will have a professional communication style, work closely with senior managers, clinical leads, senior nursing leads, operational management teams, medical secretaries, and other departments. You will be able to manage and prioritise a highly detailed and complex workload and respond well under pressure. Attention to detail is a must. You will be proficient on Excel. An understanding of performance waiting times; Cancer Waiting Times, 18-weeks RTT will be an advantage. You will have a flexible approach. You will respond quickly to operational issues and unforeseen challenges that require immediate resolution to support continued and smooth running of our services. To be considered for this role you should have a minimum of 3-years' experience as an administrator. You will be educated to GCSE Grade C or recognised equivalent in English Language and Maths. The successful candidate will be required to work cross site at Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospital sites. Main duties of the job
*Supporting the department with achievement of national targets
*Clinic and theatre cover and utilisation and associated clerical work
*Maintaining departmental Excel spreadsheets
*Validating patient tracking lists
*Running reports and gathering data
*Capacity forward look reports using Trust systems and Excel
*Liaising with other teams within the Trust to ensure patient pathways are adhered to and patients are seen in a timely manner
*Occasionally will need to deputise at for operations manager
