Job summary
The successful candidate will have experience in data collection and analysis, and have the appropriate skills to design, develop, generate and maintain reports. You will demonstrate your attention to detail, check accuracy of your reporting, and will be able to present complex data in an easily understandable format.
You will be expected to analyse data from multiple sources and provide key analysis and decision-making information for clinical and operational activities within the Directorate.
The Data Analyst reports to the Clinical Service Lead for all the duties and responsibilities stated below as well as any other duties required within reason, as assigned by the management and medical team. It is for the Data Analyst to communicate effectively and frequently with the clinical and management team.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for :-
Creating, updating, maintaining, and improving reports.
*Dealing with Ad-hoc data requests
*On-going reporting on performance and activities
*Liaising with operations & clinical teams to understand processes, enabling you to correctly identify what to report on
*Automating report generation and delivery
*Merging data between different systems to provide insights
*Interrogating data and creating appropriate reports to support the clinical team
*Undertake other duties as may be necessary after consultation with the Clinical Service Lead or senior member of the Management team
*To provide expert assistance and administration of the use of data sets & reporting functionality.
*To provide data reports in response to ad hoc requests from senior project leads.
*To produce summaries and views of data appropriate to the needs of the organisation and compliant with national NHS Quality Standards.
*To assist with data collection required for Reports.
*Problem solving and analytical skills
*An ability to publish information in an excellent format for use at any level within the organisation
*A self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, that has the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines
*To collaborate with colleagues in the context of a wider organisational team
*Good communication skills in the presentation of data and findings
