Job summary
An exciting fixed-term opportunity (to cover maternity leave - for 12 months) has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and caring individual to provide administrative and clerical support to our well-established, nationally certified Cardiac Rehabilitation service. We provide clinical exercise rehabilitation, health education and psychological support to patients following a heart attack, coronary angioplasty and coronary artery bypass surgery.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of a team providing comprehensive Administration / Co-ordination support to clinical services, ensuring this is patient focused and patients receive a compassionate and professional service. Working in conjunction with colleagues, patients, service users and internal and external stakeholders. The post holder will work under indirect supervision and will directly contribute to and Co-ordinate the efficient running of the service, ensuring that a seamless approach to patient care is delivered.
Applicants should hold a qualification in Business Administration NVQ level 3 or have equivalent experience in an administrative environment. They should be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel Spreadsheets. Experience in the use of databases is desirable and knowledge of Clinical Portal, Oceano and digital dictation would be beneficial but not essential.
The ability to prioritise and self-manage their workload is essential. An excellent telephone manner to deal with both patients and staff enquiries is important at all times.
