An opportunity has arisen for this key post in the provision of exercise physiology support for patients undergoing cardiac rehabilitation within a service which has certification by the National Audit for Cardiac Rehabilitation. You will be a skilled and experienced practitioner with a minimum of one year's clinical experience in a Cardiac Rehab setting. You will set a high standard of patient care while assessing, prescribing and guiding exercise in Core Rehab/Phase III hospital-based cardiac rehabilitation. We offer comprehensive rehabilitation both in hospital and link in with Community based Cardiac Rehab services, and local services throughout the region. You would be joining an experienced team of nurses, caring for people following acute coronary syndrome admission and revascularisation.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service across Good Hope, Birmingham Heartlands and Solihull Hospitals where you will be providing clinical leadership with regard to the exercise component of the cardiac rehabilitation services. The post also links with community cardiac rehabilitation teams, assessing suitable patients and referring them to community exercise programmes as appropriate.

This post will require cross-site working therefore the use of a car is essential. If you have the following then we would love to hear from you:

*A least one year's clinical experience in caring for patients with coronary heart disease and chronic conditions with associated co-morbidities

*A first degree and Master's degree in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation/Exercise Physiology or equivalent

*BACPR Phase 4 Exercise Instructor Certificate
