Job summary
We are looking for talented and highly enthusiastic individuals to join the Postgraduate Medical Education Team. Postgraduate Medical Education are responsible for supporting the education and training of all junior doctors within the Trust; both Doctors in Training Posts and Locally Employed (Trust appointed) Doctors.
This role will provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative function for the Postgraduate Medical Education service. This includes, providing general administration support and when required, setting up electronic / Audio Visual (AV) equipment (i.e. laptops and data projectors, display screens, video conferencing facilities, and virtual environments (i.e. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Go2Webinar). On occasion, the post holder will be required to move furniture in meeting rooms / event training rooms to meet the events requirements.
The post holder will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate to various different levels of staff both internally and externally, enabling them to support the Medical Education service offered, with various different events, meetings, and teaching sessions all specifically designed to enhance and support the Trust's delivery of Postgraduate Medical Education activity to the junior doctor workforce.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will have excellent administrative skills, along with a knowledge and understanding of computer and audio visual skills. You need the ability to be able to think on the spot, to trouble shoot problems as and when they arise, we are looking for an individual who is a self-starter and has the ability to perform both autonomously and as part of the team.
The post holder is required to have a flexible approach to work, as deadlines and time constraints often change with Postgraduate Medical Education. At peak times of the academic training year, this position will also be required to work flexibly, by working longer days (early mornings / late evenings) to support service need, at events and conferences designed to support our junior doctor workforce.
We currently have 2 full time positions available, both posts are offered on permanent contracts of employment, working full time (37.5hrs per week) -- 09:00am until 17:00pm - Monday to Friday -- PLEASE NOTE: part time working / job share opportunity could be considered for the right candidate.
-1 based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
-1 based at Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham.
