Job summary
The Cardiology Directorate at the Trust covers Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope sites and has the opportunity to offer exciting ways of working for Cardiology Nurses who are able to work autonomously with cardiac pathway. We currently require a Specialist Cardiac Nurse Practitioner who is able to use extensive cardiac nursing knowledge and skills to deliver a high standard of autonomous practice to patients who have presented with an acute cardiac condition.
The role involves working in all areas of Cardiology and the use of Advanced Cardiac Assessment, & Advanced ECG Interpretation. Evidenced by specialist critical care/cardiology modules at BSc levels (as a minimum). History Taking and Non-Medical Prescribing skills are desirable. ALS certificate is essential. Suitable for someone with specialist role skills at B6 for at least three years with evidence of completion of Health Assessment Course, current qualification in NMP or about to complete and evidence of clinical competence in cardiology.
Working in an Interventional Cardiac Centre within the West Midlands. You will be joining a Cardiac Pathway Nursing Team who triage and assess patients autonomously along the entire Cardiac Pathway from A&E, through to Acute Medicine and Cardiology. We are an interventional service for Primary PCIs, the post holder will be integral to delivering timely care for patients suffering acute myocardial infarction.
