As Senior OH Advisor you will work with a wider team of; Consultant Occupational Physicians, specialist Drs, speciality Trainees, Liaison Psychiatrist, Counsellors, Lead Nurse, Senior and junior OH Advisors, and Clinic Nurses all of which supported by an excellent Administrative Team.

Main duties of the job
As Senior Occupational Health Advisor you will work autonomously and also within a friendly and supportive team providing all aspects of Occupational Health Services. You will be expected to provide regular clinical supervision, support to junior staff and assist the department leads with governing a high quality and well-respected service.
The role encompasses a wide variety of duties including but not limited to: management referral clinics, health surveillance, and assessing fitness for work. As health promotion is integral to this role you will have excellent communication and IT skills, cultural awareness, empathy and a pro-active approach to managing a diverse and demanding workload.
Our Occupational Health Service team consists of two Consultant Occupational Physicians, an external Occupational Health Physician, Speciality Trainees, Occupational Health Specialist Drs, Liaison Psychiatrist, Counselling Team, Lead OH Nurse, Occupational Health Advisors, Operational Manager, and Clinic Nurses all supported by an excellent Administrative Team.
You will be primarily based at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, with regular working at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Site and occasional travel over to our other Trust locations.
