Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for Band 5 Radiographers working within UHB. We are looking for qualified and students near to qualifying to join one of our DR teams. The post holder will need to be highly motivated and enthusiastic and will be expected to produce highly diagnostic imaging within our QSI accredited trust.
We ensure that we have an induction programme which will allow all new staff to be confident and competent working within our busy Imaging departments on all of our sites. We have a solid support network from our Clinical Lead Radiographers, Advanced Practitioners and Clinical Educators who will teach and advice where they see fit.
We have brand new equipment on many of our sites and a brand new Treatment centre located at Heartlands Hospital.
The successful candidate will be will be expected to work within all areas of each hospital site, which will include busy Emergency Departments, varied specialised theatre cases and will complete X-rays on Europe's largest single floor ITU.
They will be expected to update their CPD portfolios in line with HCPC Standards of Proficiency with opportunities internally and support of external events.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be able to choose which of the site within UHB they want to work at. (Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Good Hope Hospital or Solihull Hospital.
The Radiographer will be expected to participate in our Out of Hours rotation and work in all areas including: Inpatients, Outpatients, A&E, Theatres and Fluoroscopy.
You will be expected to ensure that all images are to a high standard and within their own Scope of Practice.
All Radiographic examinations are to be correctly documented and recorded, and work in line with our Trust Protocols and guidelines.
A successful candidate will also need to ensure they are working in line with the UHB Trust Values to ensure we are delivering the highest standards of clinical care to our patients which will involve liaising with a variety of other Health Care Professionals, as well other Imaging members of the team.
