Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Call Centre Team at the busy Appointments Centre for University Hospitals Birmingham which includes Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, Queen Elizabeth and Solihull Hospital as an Appointment's Co-Ordinator managing large booking teams of staff.
The positions and working patterns available:
22.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday 8:30 - 13:00.
22 hours per week: Tuesday till Friday - 12:30 - 18:00
25 hours per week: Monday to Friday 13:15 till 18:15.
This role will be based within our busy call centre, who receives hundreds of phone calls per day; dealing with patients queries as well as GP queries. Rescheduling patient's appointments at their request as well as advising on current appointment wait times.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused candidate to join our UHB Appointments Call Centre. As a Hospital Call Centre Handler, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls from patients and their families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders. The candidate is expected to provide excellent customer service by answering queries, rescheduling appointments, and directing calls to the appropriate departments.
Key Responsibilities are:
*Answering incomings calls and respond to enquiries from patients, family members, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
* Reschedule appointments
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing and resolving queries in a timely manner.
* Maintain a positive and professional communication.
* Update patient records and ensure accuracy of information.
*Follow Standard operating procedures and adhere to compliance regulations.
