Band 8B Cardiovascular Disease Programme Manager
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust
This job is now closed
Job summary
One of the key strategic priorities for the WMAHSN is to drive forward improvements in cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention and management. We will support systems, acute trusts and individuals to develop local infrastructure and capability allowing for sustained improvements in the prevention, early diagnosis, management and rehabilitation of cardiovascular conditions. Our overall aim is to improve the cardiovascular health of the population in the West Midlands. These priorities encompass programmes, projects, events and meetings involving a large and diverse range of organisations and individuals.
A core requirement for the CVD Programme Manager is to support operational delivery of the WMAHSN-supported CVD programme and projects, working in partnership with the CVD Clinical and Programme Lead and Clinical Advisors as well as supporting future programmes relating to the AHSN Networks CVD priority.
Main duties of the job
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, driven, enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team to further develop and deliver this necessary and exciting programme of work.
On a day-to-day basis, the post-holder will provide operational oversight of projects within the CVD Programme portfolio. This will involve developing and implementing the project plans, day-to-day co-ordinating and advising project managers and our stakeholders, in addition to the management and execution of time-limited projects.
While the WMAHSN CVD Programme is well established, it is constantly evolving in response to regional and national priorities and areas of focus. As such, the post offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with regional stakeholders and also to form relationships with peers in the AHSN Network and senior colleagues at NHSE/I.
