Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a new, inclusive team delivering pastoral and relocation support as part of a BSol(Birmingham & Solihull) International Recruitment Programme. We have embarked on a significant programme which will continue to act as a centralised international recruitment hub.
The post holder will provide relocation support and advice to support staff members recruited from outside of the UK, helping them transition into roles within BSOL health and care settings. Under the supervision of the International Nurse Education team, you will be a key point of contact between the internationally recruited staff members and the Trust at key stages. This may include providing information associated with Covid-19 provisions and clearances such as vaccination schedules. It may also include the co-ordination of Occupational Health checks, UK bank account opening, uniform appointments and staff support networks.
As part of your role, you will consider the social and cultural needs of the staff members arriving to the UK and be responsible for orientation and settlement, helping them to adjust to life in the UK. You will also need to consider their specific needs to ensure and equitable service. You will be based at Attwood Green in Birmingham but the role requires travel to provide a meet and greet service within Birmingham & Solihull including at weekends, therefore flexibility to be able to change plans and make new arrangements at short notice is required.

You will have experience of working in a team, either customer facing or care environment. The role involves communication via email, phone and text so you must have excellent verbal and written skills as you will be booking appointments, maintain filing systems and records and at times, under pressure with specific time constraints. You should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be able to use your initiative to ensure our new arrivals are welcomed to the UK and have a clear plan of the support offered as part of their relocation.
You will be interacting with staff pre and post arrival and be confident in giving information and advice that improves their experience. Dealing with sensitive information daily, you should understand the importance of data security and the right to confidentiality.
Our aim is to aspire to develop a workforce equipped to deliver world class patient care, and we want talented, dedicated, and passionate people to help us achieve this. If you are someone who is confident to take on new challenges and able to adapt to change in a professional and assertive manner please contact us for more information on the role.
