Job summary
The Credit Control Department at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHBFT) provides a sales ledger and credit control service to seven organisations processing and collecting sales invoices with an approximate total value of 2bn per annum. Following the successful promotion of the current post holder we are recruiting to the position of Deputy Credit Control Manager.The successful candidate will assist the Credit Control Manager in managing the day to day operation of the Credit Control Department, whilst providing advice and guidance to more junior members of the team and managing their own portfolio of debtors.
Main duties of the job
Whilst previous management or supervisory experience is not essential the successful candidate will need to demonstrate leadership qualities along with a sound knowledge of all aspects of debt collection. An empathetic nature is required when dealing with team members and debtors alike, with strong communication skills essential. Experience of using Microsoft products Excel, Access and Word would be advantageous.The post is predominantly office based, situated at Regent Court, George Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 1NU, near 5 Ways Train Station.
