Are you are an experienced Band 5 or an established Band 6 looking to increase your clinical dietetic skills in a range of different specialities? If so, one of our Band 6 Senior Dietitian posts based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, as part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, is the job for you!
As a result of a combination of department restructure under new leadership, internal promotions and additional funding, several new posts have been created at QE, which makes it an exciting time to join the team! You will join a friendly, proactive and patient-focused team of over 50 dietitians and dietetic assistants, which is part of a wider multi-professional Therapy team

*Full Time, permanent Inherited Metabolic Disorders / General Medicine Dietitian
*Full time, 1 year fixed-term Liver Dietitian

Main duties of the job
Post qualification experience in an acute NHS hospital setting with a good knowledge of nutrition support is essential.
The day to day tasks will differ dependent on which speciality you indicate you are applying for however all areas will require applicants to have experience of close multi-professional working and must demonstrate excellent communication skills and time management capabilities.
Organisation, flexibility and an ability to problem solve and apply clinical reasoning effectively are essential as you will be working in a fast-paced and busy environment.
An integral part of the role will involve assisting with supervision of Band 5's, Dietetic assistants, and students and providing opportunity to lead on audits/QI projects to improve patient care.
