Job summary

A new opportunity has come up to join our Community Outpatients team based at Beccles Hospital as a Community Outpatients Clinic Nurse. The aim of the service is to help support and oversee the daily management of James Paget University Hospital outpatient clinics based at Beccles and Solebay Health Centre in Southwold.

The post holder will work alongside the other Outpatient Clinic Nurse to ensure the smooth running of Ophthalmology and General Surgery clinics and support the band 2 support workers.

Main duties of the job

The role is a Registered Nurse position and requires the post holder will work alongside the other Outpatient Clinic Nurse to ensure the smooth running of the clinics and support the band 2 support workers.

The duties will include specific nursing clinic tasks such as clinic preparation, visual field testing, bladder scans and completing clinic reporting and paperwork.

The Nurse will have a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan, providing holistic and person centered care and support for people of all ages and in a clinic setting.

Registered Nurses are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment; and will act in accordance with the NMC Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates.
