Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist - Band 7
£53,751 - £60,651 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata
We are inviting youto apply to this exciting post in our Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service. We are a supportive and friendly team who work across the community of Bromley providing a service to patients in their own homes, care homes, our rehab beds and in outpatient clinics.
This post would suit a dynamic and reflective therapist who is committed to providing excellent clinical care and who is a positive team player. As a service, we are hugely supportive of innovation and change and you will be afforded the flexibility to be creative.Our recent developments include a new community-led FEES service and the setting up of a dedicated PD service which incorporates FEES and EMST in partnership with PDUK. As we also run dysfluency and voice caseloads which we are looking to enhance and expand, we would also welcome candidates who have experience in these areas or have a desire to develop skills in these specialisms and apply their leadership skills to market, grow and optimise these provisions.In short, this post is an excellent opportunity to build your CV.

Main duties of the job
Postgraduate training and experience in dysphagia is a requirement of this post. You will have relevant experience in managing adults with acquired swallowing and communication difficulties.Experience of FEES and/or managing a voice caseload is desirable.
You will be expected to contribute to line management, audit and service development and will receive regular clinical supervision, support through team meetings, monthly clinical forums and access to further CPD opportunities. Evidence of appropriate qualification and HCPC membership is essential. Driving/car access is an essential requirement for this post. Salary is dependent on NHS experience and current banding/pay point.

Essential
- Recognised speech & language therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
- Health and Care Professions Council Licence to practice.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Evidence of appropriate external and internal training as appropriate to specialism.
Desirable
- Evidence of leadership course
- Member of relevant CEN(s).
- Registered member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
- Completion of recruitment and selection training
- Completion of clinical supervision training.
- Level 2 FEES practitioner
- Evidence of successful completion of short course for voice disorders (e.g. the accent method, Estill).
