BANK Health Visitor - Bexley Borough - Band 6
£40,701 - £48,054 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata
We are currently looking for band 6 Health Visitors to join the bank here at Bromley Healthcare.
The role of the Health Visitor is to deliver the Healthy Child Programme to all eligible children and families as part of an integrated team with Community Nursery Nurses and local service providers. This is achieved through individualised health needs assessments, planning ofprogrammes of care tailored to families' needs, and effective liaison with colleagues from partner agencies.
Main duties of the job
To work at all times in accordance with the NMC Code and Bromley Healthcare policies, procedures and guidelines.
In partnership with clients and other partners, assess healthcare needs to develop and evaluate programmes to address the health needs of vulnerable groups i.e. families with children with SEND, Young parents etc.
To adhere to and work to national and local safeguarding policies.
Our health visitors work in teams which are dynamic, supportive, friendly and well established. We work closely with GP's, Children Centres and Local Authority Commissioners.
There is a commitment to strong, visible leadership at all levels.
Health Visitors have access to mobile working with laptops and smart phones.

Support collecting data to inform the performance management framework for the service ensuring team members are completing timely and accurate data collection via EMIS.
To participate in regular clinical supervision.
The post holder must carry out their responsibilities with due regard to Bromley Healthcares Equality and Diversity policy. They must ensure that equality is promoted at all times ensuring that all patients, clients and colleagues are treated in an equitable manner, respecting and demonstrating an understanding of diversity within the workplace.
To undertake such training as may be required to meet the needs of the service both mandatory and service specific.

- RGN, RM, RSCN RHV Certificate/Diploma/Degree or equivalent or undertaking at time of interview (if offered a job it would be dependent on successfully completing course NMC registered
- Professional Registration NMC registration as Nurse or midwife and specialist community public health nurse
- Training -Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Desirable
- Evidence of further professional learning.Knowledge of current research

- Current knowledge and understanding of reports/legislation affecting community nursing including current DOH directives.
