Highly Specialist Children's Physiotherapist - Band 7
£51,883 - £58,544 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata
Part time 30 hrs a week - bank or 6 month fixed term maternity cover

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Experienced Children's Physiotherapist to bridge the gap during maternity leave- for the team lead role for thecommunity caseload based in the children's resource centre?
This role will involve supporting and leading the small physio team of band 6 physios and band 4 therapy assistants working with a mixed caseload in clinic and community.
We would welcome an experienced band 6 physio looking to develop skills in a supportive and friendly environment, or a band 7 physio looking to develop team lead responsibilities. You will be based in the community team at the Phoenix Children's Resource Centre in Bromley and be expected to be able to travel to pre-schools, schools and homes to see children in their community setting when this is most appropriate.

Main duties of the job
You will be part of a dynamic, friendly physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary team, seeing children and young people with a wide variety of conditions.
You will provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice to children and young people, carers and families. Undertaking the lead role in the assessment, diagnosis and formulation of physiotherapy treatment plans.
Be the physiotherapy lead within the multi-disciplinary team, providing specialist advice to other specialist health professionals, such as child psychologists, health visitors, GPs, and social care professionals, education services and others as necessary.
To provide supervision and education to band 6 physiotherapists ( for band 7s) , physiotherapy assistants, colleagues and physiotherapy students.
To be the responsible lead for the operational delivery of a defined area/ team within the service, this is community developmental team lead role.
With more complex children- work closely with CAMHS, Wheelchair Services, Orthotics services, Specialist Equipment Agencies, Voluntary Agencies, and other providers to ensure physiotherapy treatment is fully integrated into the patients care programmes. Work closely with referrers and specialist centres to manage children's individual needs.

- Diploma or Degree in physiotherapy recognised by HCPC.
- Registered with HCPC
- Evidence of CPD to high level of clinical expertise in chosen paediatric area. ( special needs/neurodevelopmental)
Desirable
- Member of APCP
- Post Graduate courses relevant to paediatric speciality: oPaediatric Bobath course Child development oSpecialist courses/study on conditions that affect child development Ie Neuromuscular conditions; congenital and orthopaedic
- oKnowledge of gait analysis and biomechanics

- Good keyboard skills, basic IT knowledge including power point and word and emails
- Ability to create and provide printed programmes for children and families from available resources.
