Student SCPHN Health Visitor - Band 5

Fixed term: 12 months - Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Mid point of Band 5 - £35,235 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata

Bromley Healthcare is offering sponsorship for qualified Midwives and Registered Nurses to complete the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing qualification to become Health Visitors.

We are invested in the development of Health Visiting and this is underpinned by our Public Health Nursing strategy and training programme for all roles within the PHN teams.

All Health Visitors and Community Nursery Nurses have corporate membership with the Institute of Health Visiting (iHV) which offers a wealth of professional training programmes and resources to support excellent practice.

About us

The university:

Bromley Healthcare sponsors SCPHN HVs and SNs in partnership with King's College London.

The Specialist Community Public Health Visiting Postgraduate Diploma course is tailored to offer the professional qualification for qualified nurses who wish to gain entry to the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing part of the National Midwifery Council (NMC) register as a Health Visitor. This course is offered as a Level 7 programme.

The course commences in Sept 2025 and is being offered on a full-time basis. The NMC Standards of Proficiency for Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHN) are now approved and Kings College London are re-validating this programme in line with these standards. KCL will be open for applications to the re-validated programmes in late May 2025.
