HR Workforce Apprentice

Full-time - 37.5 hours per week

This will be a 2-year apprenticeship your starting salary will be £19,154.20p.

After 1 year this will increase to £20,627.60p & on completion of your apprenticeship, your salary will be £29,468

We are looking for a dynamic and hardworking colleague who is interested in progressing a career within HR, as an HR Workforce Apprentice to join our small and friendly Workforce team. The Workforce team is part of the Wider People and Development Team at Bromley Healthcare.

The HR Workforce Apprentice will gain experience of working in HR (alongside their completion of an HR Apprenticeship - Level 3) by assisting with day-to-day administrative work across different areas within the People & Development (P&D) Team.

In particular they will work to resolve staff payroll queries and provide HR advice. They will be required to ensure that standard administrative tasks and HR processes are followed and a high level of customer service is provided to staff, managers and other internal and external contacts.

Main duties of the job

  • Responding to and resolving queries from employees and managers with respect to alterations made to the payroll as a result of ESR Forms, and to process ESR Change forms when needed.
  • Liaison with the organisation's Pension Services Department to ensure that accurate information is recorded and maintained on ESR in relation to the pension scheme and resolve queries.
  • Liaison with the organisation's Pay Services Department to resolve pay queries, escalating and seeking advice from the HR Workforce Manager as appropriate.
  • Undertake regular data cleanse activities in ESR, ensuring information held is up to date and accurate, highlighting themes and actioning/escalating as appropriate.
  • Answering the telephone and acting as first point of contact within the team for HR queries for pay and tax issues.
  • Contacting HMRC and the Payroll provider to resolve staff queries.
