Bromley Healthcare is offering sponsorship for qualified Midwives and Registered Nurses to complete the SCPHN qualification to become Health Visitors.We are invested in the development of Health Visiting and this is underpinned by our Public Health Nursing strategy and training programme for all roles within the PHN teams. All Health Visitors and Community Nursery Nurses have corporate membership with the Institute of Health Visiting (iHV) which offers a wealth of professional training programmes and resources. The iHV has been commissioned to deliver the Leading Excellence in Practice programme to all Health Visitors and School Nurses over the next 18 months.Our vision is to develop a progressive, inclusive and sustainable workforce that is able to meet the diverse and changing needs of the families whom we serve, and we have created developmental roles who are completing Public Health modules with Canterbury University and will go on to train as Specialist Community Public Health Nurses in September 2023.There are strong career pathways for Public Health Nurses within the organisation and we will support you to develop through training, supervision and opportunities to engage in the work streams within the Public Health Nursing strategy.

About us

The university:

Bromley Healthcare sponsors SCPHN HVs and SNs in partnership with King's College London. The portal is currently open for candidates to apply for places on the programme. There are 2 options; BSc for candidates without a level 6 degree or those with a degree not classified as a first or upper second 2:1. The PGDip pathway is for candidates with an upper second class or first class undergraduate degree with honours.

The course commences in Sept 2023 and is being offered on a full-time basis. If you are successful in your application and called to interview you will have an opportunity to discuss which course will best meet your requirements.

There will be a group activity and a formal interview with a panel represented by the university and the public health nursing services (health visiting and school nursing).
