Community Nursery Nurse - Band 4
£29,460 - £31,909 Inc HCAS Per annum pro rata
As a Community Nursery Nurse you will support the Bexley 0 to 19 Specialist Public Health Nursesin delivery ofthe Healthy Child Programme.This involves promoting the health and development of children: undertaking child developmental reviews, advising on common childhood matters such as infant feeding, sleep, routines and boundaries, language development and includes early identification of children with additional needs.
Bexley has close links to the M25 and A2 and the area has a diverse social and economic community. This post will involve travel across Bexley to deliver services in community settings.

Main duties of the job
To work within the Bexley 0 to 19 Children's Health, to support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to children 0 to 19 and their families as delegated by and under the supervision of the Health Visitor/School Nurse/ Locality Leads, whilst working closely with all members of the health visiting team. The post holder will deliver targeted interventions as delegated by and under the supervision of the Health Visitor/Health Visiting Lead.
To promote the health and wellbeing of the 0 to 19 population and their families.

- To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and to adhere to the Bromley Healthcare Safeguarding Children Policy and Local Safeguarding Children Board Policies and Procedures.

- To participate in child health clinics in conjunction with the Health Visitor/Health Visiting Lead.
- To promote home safety, accident prevention and safe play and other health promotion.
- To plan and implement packages of care as delegated by and under the supervision of the Health Visitor/School Nurse to include attuned and positive parenting, sleep, behavioural concerns, potty/toilet training, weaning and feeding problems and speech and language and play materials.
