Job summary
This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to develop leadership experience as well as participate in clinical assessment and intervention. The CAMHS Neurodiversity service has been developing over the last couple of years and now incorporates assessment, intervention and support to young people with diagnosis or waiting for assessment of autism, tics/Tourette's, learning disabilities as well as ADHD and co-morbid mental health problems. You would be joining a friendly, passionate and experience multi professional team, ranging from nurses across all fields, social workers, speech and language therapists, occupational therapist, support workers, NMPs and Psychologist. This leadership role will require you to support registered and unregistered staff with their intervention and evaluation of care. This role gives you the perfect opportunity to expand your leadership and management experience.You will have key responsibilities relating to referrals and allocation of tasks as well as being a mentor and supervisor to students and new team members.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for
supporting the emotional, psychological and social wellbeing of children and
young people who have or are suspected of having a Neuro developmental Disorder
( ADHD, Learning disability, Autism, Tics or Tourettes).The post
holder will provide a holistic assessment for children and young people, which
will involve close liaison with the multi-agency network; including schools and
social care. The post holder will join a Multi-disciplinary Team and will work
closely with other teams within the CAMHS service. They will hold a case load
of complex need relating to the young persons neurodiversity or ongoing
neuro-diverse assessment and has co-morbidity of mental health needs. They will
assess and risk manage cases and provided clinical lead to non-registered staff
for delegated tasks. The post holder will provide specialist clinical practice
into the team for children and young people with neuro-developmental disorders,
delivering intervention within best evidence and to the highest possible
standard.The post holder will work across other teams within
CAMHS
