Main duties of the job

  • Lead the daily operations of a team of community nurses and HCAs.
  • Ensure safe and effective allocation of work across all teams.
  • Directly line manage and support a team of Band 6 nurses, with oversight of the full Nursing team.
  • Oversee the budget, including processing invoices and expenses.
  • Ensure safe staffing levels and maintain the E-roster system.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and participate in MDT meetings.
  • Respond to incidents and address any safeguarding concerns.
  • Provide caseload supervision.
  • Collaborate regularly with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and care providers.
  • Monitor and support staff wellbeing.
  • Provide clinical support to the team and student nurses when needed.
