An exciting opportunity has arisen with the development of a number of substantive and fixed terms posts up to 37.5 hours per week per post, within the CAMHS Neurodiversity team. Come and join a welcoming and

with children and young people across the neuro diverse spectrum, providing
specialist assessment and interventions. A great opportunity to develop
specialist knowledge and skills within children's mental health, develop your
leadership skills, working with a full multi professional team and working
across community settings.As we continued to grow, offering an number of service developments across the team.You will be actively involved in assessing and clinically leading on care delivery with the added attraction of an MDT around you and the young person.you will be supporting the
emotional, psychological and social wellbeing of children and young people who
have or are suspected of having a Neuro developmental Disorder(ADHD Learning
disability Autism Tics or Tourettes).This role also offers the opportunity to expand your leadership and management skills and experience building on future career opportunities.

Main duties of the job
The post
holder will provide a holistic assessment for children and young people, which
will involve close liaison with the multi-agency network; including schools and
social care.The post holder will join a Multi-disciplinary Team and will work
closely with other teams within the CAMHS service. They will hold a case load
of complex need relating to the young persons neurodiversity or ongoing
neurodiversity assessment and has co-morbidity of mental health needs. They will
assess and risk manage cases and provided clinical lead to non-registered staff
for delegated tasks.The post holder will provide specialist clinical practice
into the team for children and young people with neuro-developmental disorders,
delivering intervention within best evidence and to the highest possible
standard.

1.To improve children and young peoples mental health through the delivery
of an integrated and coordinated system of community based mental health care
to children, young people and their families, providing safe, culturally
competent, effective, cost efficient, timely and accessible services that are
in accordance with national and local priorities and responsive to the needs
and views of local children, young people and their families.
2.To provide clinical input to the team, delivering practice within best
evidence and to the highest possible standard. The post sits within the neurodiversity
pathway within CAMHS based within the city offering mental health and
neuro-developmental assessment and treatment interventions in line with NICE
Guidelines. This can include individual
work, group work and consultation.
3.The post holder will demonstrate effective skills in the assessment and
reassessment of risk and complex behaviour issues and communicate concerns
accurately in a timely fashion. This is
inclusive of priority assessments and requires multi-agency responses to risk
assessment and risk management plans. This
will also include completing recognised assessments as part of the team to
provide evidence for potential diagnosis when appropriate.
4.The post holder will make
an autonomous decision about the treatment, time of discharge, and agree with
the child, young person and family/carers as well as multi-agency key
partners. Communicate a summary of the
work undertaken and how to sustain improvements made and include correspondence
to General Practitioner.
5.The post holder will
contribute to the CAMHS Duty Rota which
operates on a daily basis.
6.The post holder will
play a role in encouraging and co-coordinating collaboration between all
agencies by attending multi-agency meetings such as multi-agency CAF meetings,
child protection case conferences, education reviews etc, to provide a mental
health perspective.
7.Be available for and make use of clinical supervision, child protection
supervision and operational line management supervision.
8.The post holder will
develop excellent and effective communication skills, applicable to working
both with young people, their families and professional systems. Acting as a
point of liaison between specialist CAMHS and universal services to ensure
improved communication and collaboration via a range of different interfaces,
forums and meetings e.g. presenting at meetings within Plymouth.
