Job summary
We are looking for a motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Syrena House who is committed to person centred care and has creative ideas and drive in order to support our service users who have enduring and complex mental health needs.
Syrena house is a 9 bedded Recovery Unit and our aim is to support and prepare people for life in the community and the transition required to achieve this.
The post holder will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with sound in-patient clinical experience, confident working in a multi-disciplinary team.
If you have a passion for promoting recovery focused interventions and supporting people to reach their optimum level of functioning utilising resources within an in-patient setting whilst linking with what the community and our stakeholders this might be the post for you.
Additionally interests or experience of impact of physical health and mental health issues and impact of substance misuse use on mental health would be advantageous.

Main duties of the job
The Post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care using the Personalised Care Framework and will be required to act as a Keyworker for identified individual service users. The post holder will be required to take charge of a shift on a regular basis.
The post holder will have the ability to sustain respectful, consistent and reliable therapeutic relationships with service users that enhances their ability to build social networks and diminishes their social exclusion, maximise their strengths and interests and increase their participation in meaningful activities.
The focus is to support discharge pathways for service users and to provide individualised care that is supported by co-produced personalised care. This needs to demonstrate evidence of risk assessment and involvement of the relevant MDT members and carer involvement.
The post holder will be required to create and maintain a learning environment for the development of junior staff and be able to undertake the role of practice supervisor/assessor.
The post holder will also be responsible for their own professional development.
The post holder will work at all times within the guidelines of the NMC Code.
Whilst the post is based at Syrena there may be an expectation to work within the wider Recovery Service at the request of the Manager according to clinical and/or as part of personal development.
