This is an
exciting new opportunity for a full time band 3 support worker to join an expanding
team working within CAMHS Early Help Pathway working with Children, Young
people and families. This role will be joining an already established team
within CAMHS service supporting provision of early intervention services.
You would
be part of a team that is delivering early
intervention services to Children and Young People (CYP) in their community and
schools. The core function of the early help team is to work with CYP to build
resilience, undertake prevention work, targeted intervention work and
supporting the community network when CYP do have mental health issues. There
will opportunity to deliver training alongside other colleagues.
This is a
role that is designed to support the service with the current provision within
CAMHS early help to offer working with Families and young people providing targeted,
short term interventions (group & individual) up to 6-8 sessions within the
I-THRIVE model and the focus will be on early intervention.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for supporting the
emotional, psychological and social wellbeing of children and young people with
a drive for early intervention, enabling cultural change in the way first
contact services can support children and young people with mental health issues.
The post holder will work as part of the locality
facing CAMHS Early Help Pathway to support the delivery of targeted
interventions, groups and possible parent interventions implemented effectively and evaluated using routine outcome measures (ROM's).
To support CYP to access an online, targeted intervention and to facilitate the intervention online for the CYP to access CBT.
To plan & deliver various groups on a rolling programme.
The post holder will co-facilitate training to schools
in collaboration with team members, work in schools with groups of young people
promoting resilience and wellbeing to prevent mental health issues arising.
To liaise effectively with the other
CAMHS pathways across the city.
To maintain confidentiality in respect
of the young people at all times.
Communicate clearly with children and young
people, their families and all other health professional groups.
Promote person centred approach
To achieve 15 clinical contacts a week

Where appropriate represent CAMHS in multi-agency

implementation of decisions made by the team.
Ensure planned interventions are
implemented effectively and evaluated using Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROMS)
Participate in the delivery of training
programmes for schools and community services from a portfolio of available
CAMHS training
Maintain standards of care to highest
level within available resources.
To liaise effectively with the other
CAMHS pathways across the city.
To develop and maintain relationships
with providers statutory and non-statutory.
To maintain confidentiality in respect
of the young people at all times.
Communicate clearly with children and
young people, their families and all other health professional groups about
their health problems.
Actively participate in clinical
governance and quality improvement initiatives, e.g. clinical audit, essence of
