Job summary
Bayman ward is a 25 bedded nurse led unit providing stroke rehabilitation on an up to 6 week stroke pathway for patients with stroke impairments, supported by a full MDT comprising of physio therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, Psychology.
Main duties of the job
To support the planning, implementation and evaluation of individulised care, focusing on promoting rehabilitation to improve the patients function with a view to them returning back to their home environment or suitable onward placement
To complete admissions and discharges ensuring that paperwork is completed and TTA's ordered in a timely manner.
Ensure adherence to infection control
Complete MCA'S as required
Supervise and support students and staff on the ward.
Moving and handling of patient assessed by therapy
