Job summary

Using the organisations chosen e-workforce systems the role will support the provision of accurate and timely analysis, interpretation and presentation of high quality workforce information from the organisations people systems. Systems currently used, but not limited to: ESR, Access, OLM, EASY pay, Trac and erostering.

As required ensuring that the regular monthly, annual and ad hoc reporting analysis trends and narrative around workforce KPIs and requirements of the Board, Committees and Groups are prepared and distributed, are professional and accurate in their presentation with attention to detail. Making national workforce data returnsas required. Maintaining information governance and data protection at all times.Responsible for the maintenance, accuracy and quality of information held on workforce information systems that will be used to provide the workforce reporting needs. Maintaining, monitoring and updating systems as required. Ensuring action is taken to improve and maintain data accuracy when noted or advised.

The postholder will need well developed specialist knowledge and practicalexperience in undertaking data analysis. The analysis will involve complexconfidential datasets

The role offers hybrid working, 2 days in the office and 3 at home

Main duties of the job

Support the Lead Workforce Data Analyst to manage and maintain theorganisations workforce systems and to make effective use of these systems whether within the People Directorate or to support Service leads with their planning. This may on occasion require self-directed learning to fully understand and to make effective and efficient use of the data capabilities of each system and the interplay between systems. The postholder will analyse and interpret data and seek support as necessary to interpret.

Support the management and maintenance of work structures, positions etc within workforce systems resolving system issues in conjunction with system providers as necessary or escalating within the Directorate.To produce regular, ad-hoc and timely workforce information reports, in line with the information requirements of the organisation. Investigating dataanomalies identified during analysis, instigating corrective action asnecessary.

Working with the Lead Workforce Systems Data Analyst to support thebuilding and updating of ESR/Workforce Systems work structures by creating, amending, closing or eliminating posts and organisation levels.Undertake administrator duties for Workforce and e-HR systems managed by the team including, for example, but not limited to ESR and EASY. Manage day to day user issues in relation to workforce systems including managing the team email inboxes.

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline which relates to workforce information, business information systems, data analysis and similar or equivalent relevant experience and activity at this level.

Desirable

  • Prince 2 or similar accreditation.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the role of confidentiality policies, GDPR, Data Protection Act within a workforce analytics setting
