Job Overview
This is an exciting new role, supporting a project exploring the impact of mobile health and wellbeing delivery on health inequalities in Essex.
The role is part of the Innovation and Transformation team and is central to the efficient and effective deployment of a specialised clinical vehicle.
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, respond swiftly to changes and work in collaboration with others.
In addition, there is a requirement to support project activity by being a designated driver on occasion for the vehicle, including some evening and weekend cover.
This is a part time post and offers flexible working. The role is supported by the Innovation Programme Manager and is part of the Enterprise Directorate.

Coordinate the booking of vehicle use across a range of internal teams and external stakeholders, adjusting the schedule in the event of changing circumstances.
Support teams seeking to use the vehicle, by maintaining clear communication, answering queries, and escalating issues.
Liaise with the vehicle hire company to ensure rapid escalation and resolution of vehicle issues.
Undertake role as vehicle driver to support use by external organisations.
Promote maintenance and care of vehicle to all users, monitoring condition and communicating any concerns to line manager.
Liaise with contracts and finance teams to establish database of invoices and payments linked to external use of vehicle and fuel spend.
Provide administrative support for the project, including developing and maintaining accurate record keeping processes to support data collection relating to vehicle use.

Supported by an internally and externally accessible online communications and booking system, coordinate scheduling of vehicle use across a range of internal teams and external stakeholders. The post holder will ensure that the scheduling offers maximum use of vehicle over the 12 month project period, taking into account health inequalities impact outcomes set by teams.
Liaise with manager, internal and external leads, EMS and commissioner representation to support the delivery of the health inequalities mobile delivery project to ensure maximum vehicle deployment
Maintain clear and accountable communication between groups seeking to use the vehicle including clear and accountable records and data relating to vehicle use
With support from manager, develop and establish processes to ensure efficient and effective deployment and use of the vehicle including:
- Request and return process
- Reasonable use information
- Billing and payments for external organisations
- Rationale for prioritisation for use
Liaison with vehicle hire company (EMS) to ensure rapid escalation, resolution of vehicle issues
Work with teams and manager to support communication coordination with groups such as local authorities and retailers with regard to parking and other elements of vehicle management
As employee of Provide undertake role a vehicle driver to support vehicle use by external organisations including :
Picking up vehicle from designated parking area
- Driving vehicle to specific destinations
- Supporting teams in setting up the vehicle, and public to access associated services
- Promote maintenance and care of vehicle to all users, monitoring condition and communicating issues to line manager
- Return vehicle to designated parking area
Working on own initiative, planning and adjusting schedule in event of changing conditions and circumstances, with the focus remaining on maximising and optimising access and deployment of vehicle
Offer a friendly and helpful disposition in order to be able to positively communicate with a range of people, both directly and indirectly
Manage competing demands from different services for access to vehicle, using interpersonal skills and direct communication to support resolution.
Setting up, managing and liaising with contracts and finance team to establish database of invoices and payments linked to external use of vehicle and fuel spend.
To act as a resource to Provide Group and external partners for project updates and developments highlighting opportunities for promotion and reporting about project.
