Main duties of the job

Job Purpose
- Nottingham CityCare Partnership is a Social Enterprise providing a range of HealthCare services in community settings within the City of Nottingham. The Business Team is responsible for monitoring contracts with our commissioners and supporting the business functions of the organisation.
- The Business Intelligence Analyst will be part of a small team and will support and develop the delivery of information and business intelligence throughout the organisation. The role will be responsible for the development and management of key performance indicators across a portfolio of services, providing data analysis and business intelligence support to the Business and Contracts Managers, Assistant Directors, Senior Managers, Clinical Managers and operational staff.
- The post holder will work with partner organisations and clinical services to ensure that information systems are efficient, robust and able to collect accurate information on the activity undertaken by the services. Analysis of this data will support both the ongoing work of CityCare, new innovations and opportunities to develop the business.
- An important part of the role will be to provide first level support to clinical services to enable them to monitor and resolve data quality issues and to support development of their understanding of performance information, enabling them to make decisions based on the analysis provided.
- The role will further support the Business Intelligence Developer in maintaining and developing the server, data warehouse and reporting tools for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Business & Commissioners
- To be responsible for the development and management of key performance indicators and meeting the information needs of operational teams; leading on providing accurate and timely reports across an agreed portfolio of services, evidencing performance and providing headline analysis and information to services, the CityCare Board and commissioners.
- As part of the Business Team, the post holder will support the creation and continuous development of the organisations contractual submissions, across both adult and childrens services. In this capacity the post holder will work autonomously within the remit of their portfolio, accessing advice and support from their line manager as needed.
- To develop and implement processes and solutions to assist senior managers and relevant project teams to meet planning, performance and service information requirements.
- To provide timely and accurate headline performance information to inform reviews, contract meetings and on an ad-hoc basis, including early identification of any performance issues.
- To provide accurate information to support new business opportunities, tenders and bids in the format required and to deadlines.
- To support clinical services in future decision making and operational changes by providing and developing analytical tools and solutions.
- To undertake analyses to support CityCares key functions, providing information that will inform key business decisions made by CityCare and their commissioners.

- To develop complex analysis and insight across adult and childrens services by using a wide range of extraction and analytical techniques to interrogate and report from both corporate clinical systems and stand-alone data bases including SystmOne, data warehouse and other smaller stand-alone systems. It is therefore essential the post holder have experience in specialist application software and programming languages, including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI and advanced skills in SQL and Excel.
- The post holder will be expected to use specialist skills, knowledge and experience to support their portfolio of services in achieving contractual reporting requirements and internal metrics as appropriate, whilst working as part of a team to share such skill, knowledge and experience over the wider adult, childrens and corporate services. As well as this, the post holder would also be expected to support their portfolio of services in making operational decisions and improvement via the use of their analytical skills.
- To be responsible for the analytical development and management of key performance indicators across a portfolio of services, using a range of tools to provide data analysis and business intelligence, to support the development and management of the performance report, CCG submission and Board report.
