Job summary
Volunteering is a fantastic way to learn new skills, meet new people and to give something back to the local community. We have several different volunteering opportunities throughout the organisation, from meeting and greeting people visiting our clinics to assisting in administrative roles. Whether you have a personal connection to Nottingham CityCare or just want to give something back to your community, we want to hear from you.
We're looking for enthusiastic people and can provide the necessary training and support anyone interested in finding out more can apply online or by calling Emma Cross, Apprenticeship and Career Engagement Manager on 07557 611245 or email volunteeringcitycare@nhs.net
You will need to be 16 years or over and be able to commit to volunteering for a minimum of two hours per week. Our volunteering roles can be offered on a short and long-term basis.

We're hosting stalls at key locations across the city to speak to community members about the benefits of volunteering, the roles available and how to apply.

Role Description:
Our Stroke clinic 12 week programme needs friendly supportive volunteers to help us successfully meet our patients needs. You will support Nottingham CityCare staff in the setting up and running of the clinic. You will engage with all patients and their families attending the clinic supporting them to feel welcomed and at ease and assist them to participate in the programme improving their experience and outcomes.
Time Commitment: 2 - 3 hours per week. Tuesday afternoon or Friday morning (not bank holidays).
Would suit:
Someone with good communication skills patience and empathy are essential qualities. Some experience and or interest of the impact of having a Stroke would be beneficial although training will be provided.

Dress code:
You will be issued with an ID badge and volunteer lanyard which you must wear at all times to show that you are volunteering. All volunteers will be expected to follow our Dress code and Infection Protection and Control policies.
All Volunteers will require a DBS check.
